Balmoral Cruises

Balmoral is the largest ship in the Fred Olsen Cruise Line. It has 710 cabins with the capacity of 1350 passengers. It was refitted in 2008. Balmoral cruises range from a length of 7 to 50 nights.

The cabins vary from approximately 130 sq ft (Single Inside Cabin) to over 430 sq ft (Premier Suites). All rooms have interactive television, 24-hour cabin service, individually controlled air conditioning, telephone, and dual voltage power supply. There are handicapped accessible rooms available.

The Balmoral is equipped with several centres to help one’s holiday flow smoothly. The Reception Centre on the Main Deck is well staffed to answer any queries. Although the Balmoral has an on-board laundry service, there is also a self-service launderette available with washing machines, tumble dryers and ironing facilities. The Balmoral Cruises always have a doctor on board located in the medical centre on the Marina Deck.

While on board, entertainment is available throughout your holiday. From musical shows, stand-up comedians, dancing, cocktails, gaming tables, live music or simply enjoying the panoramic views, Balmoral cruises are filled with entertainment. Others might enjoy the on-board fitness centre, two pools, Jacuzzis, an art gallery, a library, an arts and crafts room, lounge, card room, internet centre, spa and salon. Shopping enthusiasts will find several boutiques available offering everything from film to clothes and perfume.

Balmoral cruises offer several selections of restaurants, from formal to informal. The main restaurant is the Ballindalloch located on the main deck. The Avon and the Spey Restaurants are located on the Highland Deck and offer the same food as the Ballindalloch with spectacular views. The Palms Cafe is less formal than the previous restaurants with the food served in a buffet style of service with flexible eating times. The Marquee Bar is an open air casual cafe open for lunchtime, weather permitting.
